Catholic Eucharistic Adoration is BACK! Come see the VISER Room in the Learning Commons transformed into a beautiful stained glass church to enjoy relaxing worship and prayer time with Christ: October 18th from 8:30-9:15PM.
Eucharistic Adoration is a time where the Blessed Sacrament is exposed for anyone to come and sit with Jesus. It is a time of silent prayer, reflection, meditation, and worship in the presence of Jesus. It will be led by Chaplain Father Peter Volz. He will be available for anyone looking to speak with him. Campus Minister Lucia will also be present for any guidance.
We ask that all who enter Adoration in the VISER room do so silently, reverently, and respectfully while the Blessed Sacrament is in the front of the room. It is common for Catholics in the presence of the Eucharist to pray while sitting or kneeling. Perhaps you may be interested in bringing a prayer journal to write in, or a Bible, prayer devotional, or book to read from... but it is common to also sit, close your eyes, and enjoy some quiet time with the Lord. There will be periods of silence, as well as light worship music played throughout the hour. Adoration starts and ends with group prayer, which we will provide attendees to read from if they would like. Feel free to come in and go as you need to, there is no requirement to stay for the full event.
We will have Rosaries available for those who wish to pray it, prayer cards etc., and you are welcome to keep them.
This will follow Newman Club Bible Study leader Reuben's talk on "Divine Intimacy," which will also be in VISER, starting at 7:00PM. Pizza will be provided for dinner as we listen to his talk.
