Eucharistic Adoration

Following Catholic Newman Club’s discussion from 7:30-8:30pm, Campus Ministry will be holding Eucharistic Adoration in the VISER Lab from 8:30-9:15pm on the evening of October 14, 2025.

Unfamiliar with Eucharistic Adoration? Here is what to expect:

  • Eucharistic Adoration is a time for worship of Jesus Christ, to adore His presence in the Blessed Sacrament.

  • We ask that anyone attending silence phones and refrain from using your devices; in order to place sole focus on the Body of Christ. This is also respectful to those praying around you.

  • When present in adoration, it is appropriate to kneel as the priest/minister unveils the Eucharist, the Body of Christ, then either sit back in your seat or remain kneeling. as you wish throughout the length of adoration.

  • Adoration is a time for silent prayer or reflection. Some people close their eyes, some pray the rosary, some read the Bible, write or journal, etc.

  • There will be periods of silence, and period of light music played during the evening.

  • You are welcome to stay for the whole time, or to silently & reverently enter and exit as you wish.

  • It begins and concludes with prayer, which will be provided on sheets of paper before we begin.

  • In the back of the VISER Lab, there is a small green room separated from the rest of the lab which on occasion a visiting priest can provide the Sacrament of Confession. You are welcome to request this during adoration if a priest is available.

Questions can be directed to Lucia at Lpasternak@kean.edu, or Reuben via the GroupMe or philipre@kean.edu.
