CRS: Faith Into Action

Are you interested in learning about how you can serve your brothers and sisters around the world in need? Are you interested in learning about advocacy work? How about Catholic Relief Services?

CRS's mission is to assist disadvantaged people overseas, working in the spirit of Catholic social teaching to promote the sacredness of human life and the dignity of the human person. Although their mission is rooted in the Catholic faith, their operations serve people based solely on need, regardless of their race, religion or ethnicity.

You may have seen Campus Ministry partner with CRS in the past to provide the Rice Bowls for Lent, or to provide tabling for globar vaccine equity- but there is so much more that students can be involved in with CRS to advocate for those in crisis around the world, those in need, and to be involved in life-changing legislation, such as CRS's current focus of the Global Food Security Reauthorization Act.

Can't attend, but want to support some of the emergency relief services that CRS is working on? CRS is providing emergency relief in response to floods that have displaced more than 2 million people and covered one third of Pakistan. You can dontate to the efforts (CRS is also providing immediate cash assistance to over 2,000 families) by heading to the link here.

Stop by the Campus Ministry Office to learn about different opportunities or ways to get involved with CRS- Speak with Campus Minister Lucia on what areas or current issues you are passionate about- and see how you can help Campus Ministry get involved avocating for those around the world and in our own community.
